The Bradley Center Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Bradley Center is a trauma-based residential treatment facility for children and adolescents with mental health and/or developmental disabilities.

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter that is detail oriented and has great communication and organizational skills. Duties would include, but not limited to:


  • Assist the Leadership and Executive Staff with daily tasks

  • Conduct orientation sessions with all new hires

  • Conduct background and reference checks

  • Creates and maintains personnel and internship files in compliance with applicable legal requirements, keeping records up-to-date at all times

  • Assist with entries into payroll system for all new and current staff

  • Serve as the backup for Workers Compensation claims and paperwork

  • Assist in Family and Medical Leave Act(FMLA) and Personal Leave of Absence (PLOA) coordination

  • Assists with special projects and employee events

  • Maintains and runs spreadsheets and system generated reports integral to the effective functioning of the department, including vacancy reports, separations, employee referral reports, ad logs, college recruiting, etc.; generate weekly, monthly or as needed

  • Maximize direct recruitment, especially through the effective use of Social Media channels and through the building and maintenance of a successful talent pipeline

  • Perform general recruitment administration duties, arranging interviews for managers, advertising, ensuring all candidate communication is sent out in a timely manner

  • Continuously post career opportunities on our internal intranet and company website

  • Identify “hard to fill” roles and take appropriate action to assist

  • Provide weekly status updates on recruiting progress

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned


  • High School Diploma

  • 4+ years Human Resources experience required

  • Previous recruitment and learning and development experience

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification desirable

  • Must be able to work with confidential materials and information

  • Must have strong, proven verbal and written communications skills

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Must be able to multitask and work independently

  • Must be able to pass organizational background checks
