SUMMARY This position performs a variety of Human Resources functions including employee relations, payroll administration, benefits/rewards initiatives and annual, quarterly and daily HR activities. Presentation Skills ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to: Strong verbal and written communication skills and must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Has the ability to function under highly stressful conditions and interact cordially with co-workers to accomplish tasks. Is punctual, on time and adheres to company attendance policies. Assists the management team in conflict resolutions issues, performance management, disciplinary processes and terminations. Assists the Management Team with performance management initiatives including quarterly and annual performance objectives and feedback to all team members. Responsible for all records retention records related to all HR processes (recruiting, employment, medical, financial, performance management, benefits/rewards, terminations, etc.) Processes and inputs all the HR related information and documentation into the HRIS system. Conducts New Hires orientations and communicates new policies and procedures to all employees as required. Responsible for all timekeeping functions, inputs to the HRIS, payroll and compliance system. Responsible for maintaining and updating I-9 form documentation as required. Supports the HR Team and Management Team in annual and quarterly open enrollment initiatives. Plans and coordinates employee events on site as well as annual activities Assists with processing of terminations, conducting exit interviews and responding to unemployment claims. Processes Purchase Orders for all HR supplies and materials and tracks expenses against budget. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Performs job function in adherence to safety instructions and rules. Does not perform any job duty or function employee has not been trained for. Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Five years working in a Human Resources department in a Company with a headcount over 100 employees. College degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related degree preferred, equivalent experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, business associates and HR peers. Bilingual English/Spanish competency desired but not required. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Candidates must have the ability to type 40 or more words per minute, proficiency in MS Word, Power Point and Excel and payroll software.
