Job TitleHR GeneralistFull Time/Part TimeFull-timeJob DescriptionJob Summary:The Generalist partners with the HR Business Partner(s) to help drive the business strategy by developing and executing site based people strategy aligned with corporate HR Strategy. The Generalist will also work with the centers of excellence in the Global HR team to support business needs (Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits and Learning & Development. Responsibilities* Assume HR leadership for one or more sites* Works with Senior HR Business Partner for different business areas to champion HR initiatives in support of the organization.* Participates in Engagement Team activities* Serve as role model for Mercury's culture & values. Ensures Mercury Cultures and Values are embraced and implemented across all sites. Provide coaching necessary to assist in the development and nurturance of Mercury's culture.* Coach and counsel managers and employees at all levels by serving as a confidential sounding board for employees and managers* Under the direction of the HRBP, leads employee relations activities for assigned site(s). Proactively identify issues, leverage corporate resources, recommend solutions and ensure consistency across business functions* Supports the execution of company-wide HR programs for assigned site e.g., rewards & recognition, training & development, workforce planning, recruiting, performance management and talent management. Pro-proactively leverages these corporate programs for the best interest of the site in support of business unit objectives* Partner with HRBP in assessing needs and delivering training & development solutions for site. Deliver compliance and soft-skills training.* Assess site needs and partner with HRBP to identify and develop required interventions/initiatives Required Competencies (Basic knowledge, skills and abilities needed to successfully perform the job)* Comfortable in a role that has both tactical and strategic elements (80/20%)* Ready and willing to challenge the status quo in order to support the company's growth plans* Strong team/collaboration style* Demonstrated high degree of business acumen* Exceptional employee relations skills* Entry level project management skills* Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills* Teamwork, Communication and Execution as core ways of working. Having a sense of urgency, customer focus and commitment will be key competencies for success.* Associate/Intermediate level HR technology skills (ADP, Oracle, MS-Office Suite, PS Project, Visio, etc.)* Comfortable using variety of electronic tools & media (Webex, Skype for Business, Social Media)* BA or BS Degree (preferably in business, Human Resources, I/O psychology etc.)* 3-5 years related HR experience, with 2 years solid generalist experience with more functional HR area(s) prefered.* Ability to travel 25%+ and work independentlyWe are proud to be an EOE of Minorities/Females/Vets/Disabilities.
